About Us:
We’re a small, but mighty group of volunteers throughout Knoxville and surrounding counties passionate about sharing the rich flavors and vibrant culture of Poland with our community. Our community began to grow and flourish more dynamically a few years ago with the arrival of Father Marcin Gładysz, who joined the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as an Associate Pastor. The Cathedral soon became our spiritual and cultural home, hosting monthly Polish Masses and serving as a welcoming space for our Polonia community to connect, support one another, and greet new members.
After each Mass, we gather over coffee and cake to share stories and strengthen bonds. As the Polish Ministry of East Tennessee, we’ve organized a wide variety of events—from festive picnics and lively dance gatherings to New Year’s Eve celebrations, traditional Christmas Eve Wigilia suppers, and of course, the beloved Polish Heritage Festival.

The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is a cathedral and parish church located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Sacred Heart Parish, the predecessor to the cathedral parish, was erected in 1956 and its church opened that same year. After the diocese of Knoxville was created in 1988, Sacred Heart Church became Sacred Heart Cathedral. In 2018, the diocese dedicated a new cathedral building, Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
